This year will be the 51st annual Village Halloween Parade. It is the largest Halloween party in the world with over 50,000 participants in costumes. This parade takes place in Greenwich Village on Sixth Avenue from Spring Street to 16th Street. You never know what you may see and who you may meet! An annual Thanksgiving tradition for families for almost 100 years is to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Giant and colorful balloons of cartoon characters and mascots, marching bands, musical performers and festive floats are all the stars of the show. It starts at Central Park West (77th Street) and ends at Macy’s in Herald Square. Watching this parade then preparing for and eating a huge Thanksgiving feast with friends and family is the perfect Thanksgiving Day for us.

Two of the most popular and famous rinks are at two NYC landmarks, Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center and they both attract thousands of skaters from around the world every year. A visit to either rink is a great way to get excited about the winter months and the holiday season.
