Looking for fun, foodie things to do in NYC this fall?

Wow, time flies especially when we are having fun. For many, Labor Day marks the unofficial end of the summer but don’t worry, there are so many foodie festivals, fun events and more to check out in the fall. So, with that in mind, here is our list of the top 7 fun things to do in New York City, fall 2023 edition.

Feast of San Gennaro – September 14 to September 24

For 11 days in September, Little Italy is the place to be! The Feast of San Gennaro has been described as the “feast of all feasts”. There will be parades, live music, delicious foods, carnival games and so much more. NYBG Fall-O-Ween – September 16 to November 12

We are always on the lookout for new, fun ways to celebrate fall and the Halloween season. We are very excited about Fall-O-Ween at the New York Botanical Garden. Here you can check out the fall foliage, pumpkin carving contests, giant pumpkin displays, and spooky garden nights. Similarly, the Bronx Zoo will have Pumpkin Nights (9/28 – 10/29) that will feature over 5,000 illuminated pumpkins.

Taste of the Seaport – September 23

The Taste of the Seaport is an annual food festival on Pier 17 where you can taste dishes from over 40 local restaurants like Di Fara Pizza, Momofuku and the Paris Cafe. Plus, there will be a family friendly kids’ zone which will have games, art workshops and live performances through this festival. Best of all, this is a fundraiser for local schools in the area.

Brooklyn Book Festival – September 24 to October 2

If you love reading like us, you must check out the Brooklyn Book Festival in Downtown Brooklyn. It is the largest free literary festival in New York City. Currently over 100 authors will be there, representing a wide range of genres. Also be on the lookout for the New York Film Festival (9/29 – 10/15), New York Comic Con (10/12 – 10/15) and Anime NYC (11/17 – 11/19). There is a little something for everyone this fall.

West Side Fest – September 30

This year will be the first of hopefully many West Side Fests. It is a celebration of the arts and culture of the west side of Manhattan. During this festival, you can get free admission and tours at museums like the Whitney Museum of American Art, Rubin Museum of Art, and the Poster House. You can also watch live performances of puppet shows, plays and poetry readings.
