Joe’s Pizza – 7 Carmine St & Other Locations
First off, Joe’s Pizza serves the quintessential New York pizza slice. We love it because their tomato sauce is a bit sweeter than most pizzerias, the cheese is top notch and the crust is always perfectly chewy. Best of all this slice is only $3!
Best Pizza – 33 Havemeyer St, Brooklyn
P.C.: yelp, Ginette P.
Best Pizza in Williamsburg is another pizzeria with excellent New York style pizza. But the real gem here is the white slice. Their white slice has caramelized onions, sesame seeds, mozzarella, ricotta and pecorino cheese. It is a flavor combination that just works and it is heaven with every bite. Both their regular slice and white slice are about $4.
L&B Spumoni Gardens – 2725 86th St, Brooklyn
L&B Spumoni Gardens in Gravesend has one of the best deals in New York City, a huge Sicilian slice for only $3. What is unusual about their pizza is that they put the sauce on top of the cheese. In fact, it is our pick for the best Sicilian slice in all of NYC and it is definitely worth a trip.
Table 87 – 87 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn & Other Locations
P.C.: yelp, Shulin T.
There is something special about a pizza fresh out of a coal oven and Table 87 is the only pizzeria that we have ever come across that sells coal oven pizza by the slice. Their slice is just $4.
2 Bros Pizza – 31 West 46th St & Other Locations
The last three pizzerias on this list all sell a slice of pizza for $1; an unbelievable deal! Probably the best known $1 slice pizzeria is 2 Bros Pizza. Two slices and a drink are only $3 here and they have locations all over the city.
99 Cent Fresh Pizza – 151 E 43rd St & Other Locations
em>P.C.: yelp, Stephanie P.
Our go to $1 slice pizzeria is 99 Cent Fresh Pizza near Bryant Park. We get lunch here about once a week! Two slices and a drink are just $2.75 (the same price for a subway fare)! They sell a lot of pizza here so the pizza is always fresh.
Vinny Vincenz Pizza – 231 1st Ave
P.C.: yelp, Nick D.
Finally, Vinny Vincenz Pizza in the East Village has been often described as the king of the $1 slice (although now after 6:00 PM, their slice does go up to $1.50). It is very popular so don’t be surprised to see a crowd of people at their storefront. Even with a long line it moves fast and like every pizzeria on this list, Vinny Vincenz Pizza is perfect if you are a looking for a quick and cheap lunch that is great on the go!
