Our Guide to Dining in the Chelsea Market, New York City
Chelsea Market is always buzzing with excitement and it has been going strong for 20 years. It has easily become the must see foodie destination in New York City. Here is our guide to dining in the Chelsea Market. Any of these restaurants are worth the trip alone!
Tuck Shop
Tuck Shop specializes in delicious Australian meat pies and it is one of the first places we always check out in the Chelsea Market. Their pies are the perfect snack or a convenient lunch on the go. Some of our favorites include their chicken pot pie, the Guinness steak and mushroom pie and the lamb shank & vegetables pie.
The Lobster Place & C&P Gallery
The Lobster Place is the go to spot for super fresh seafood. So it is no surprise that it is one the best places in New York City to get a succulent steamed lobster. It is made fresh and ready to eat. We also love their lobster roll picnic basket meal which includes a lobster roll, chips, a cookie and lemonade for $21.
Dickson’s Farmstand Meats
Similarly Dickson’s Farmstand Meats is the go to spot for super fresh meats like beef, pork or chicken. If you don’t want to wait and if you want to skip the whole cooking at home process, they have amazing hot dogs, rotisserie chicken, roast beef sandwiches and more that you can enjoy right there. We recommend them all for lunch.
Mŏkbar
Mŏkbar serves Korean ramen with items like bibimbap and kimchi ramen on their menu. Both offer huge bursts of flavor with every bite! Also for vegans there is the vegan miso ramen which is also very tasty.
Los Tacos No 1
Los Tacos No 1 is a very popular taco shop in the Chelsea Market. You can easily find it by spotting the huge line of people waiting to order some of their outstanding tacos. But the line moves fast and their carne asada and pollo asado tacos are well worth the wait.
Doughnuttery
If you looking for a yummy snack, we love the additive, mouth watering mini doughnuts from Doughnuttery. These bite size snacks are made fresh and you can pick from flavors like cinnamon sugar, fruity cereal, PB&J and a whole lot more.
L’Arte del Gelato
Finally we have to end the day with some gelato from L’Arte del Gelato! There is always a wide range of flavors with monthly specials to choose from so we are always getting something different each time.
