NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2014 Recommendations
Restaurant Week comes around twice a year and it is one of the more exciting times to be a foodie in New York City! Every year the list of participating restaurants grows. To help, we went through all the restaurant week menus of our favorite restaurants and here is our NYC Restaurant Week summer 2014 recommendations!
Butter Midtown – 70 W 45th St
Alex Guarnaschelli’s Butter recently moved to a new location in Midtown and Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to check it out. It is just off Times Square and their ricotta ravioli and braised and grilled beef short ribs sound amazing.
Ken & Cook – 19 Kenmare St
Ken & Cook is a popular neighborhood restaurant just outside of Chinatown and Little Italy. Their food is always top notch and they have an exciting Restaurant Week menu this year. We are definitely looking at their tuna nicoise, aged strip steak and of course their chocolate cake with salted caramel and pistachios.
Red Rooster – 310 Lenox Ave
If you haven’t been to Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster before, you have to check it out before Restaurant Week ends. It is on our short list of restaurants that you have try in New York City. We are going with their pickled tomato soup, applewood smoked salmon and Red Rooster doughnuts off their Restaurant Week lunch menu.
Esca – 402 W 43rd St
If you are looking for seafood, you can’t beat Mario Batali’s Esca in Hell’s Kitchen with dishes like calamari, trota di mare, brown butter plum crostata on their Restaurant Week menu. Reservations are highly recommended.
Perry Street – 176 Perry St
Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to try Perry Street’s crispy fried chicken. It is our pick of one of the best fried chickens in New York City.
Costata – 206 Spring St
Costata is an Italian steakhouse that has a lot of buzz behind it and their Restaurant Week is a great deal. Their beef Tartare and their signature burger are sure to be stars in an unforgettable meal.
