Carmine’s – 200 W 44th St & 2450 Broadway
Carmine’s is the ultimate family friendly restaurant in New York City. They have delicious Italian dishes ranging from fried calamari to chicken marsala. Their dishes are served in large portions and are designed to be passed around and shared. Carmine’s is also known for their outstanding service.
Katz’s Delicatessen – 205 E Houston St
If enormous pastrami sandwiches and juicy hot dogs sound like a good time, then look no further than Katz’s Delicatessen. They are world famous for a reason and their mouthwatering sandwiches are well worth the trip.
Shake Shack – Southeast corner of Madison Square Park & Other Locations
Whether you are six years old or sixty years old, there is nothing more satisfying than a juicy burger, fries and a thick milkshake. One of the best places in NYC to get them is at Shake Shack. We especially love their Shack Stack burger.

Along the same lines, mac and cheese is the ultimate American comfort food and our favorite spot for mac and cheese is at S’Mac. Their mac and cheese comes in all sort of flavors that you can mix and match so that you can have a bit of fun while enjoying this American classic.
Blue Smoke – 116 E 27th St & 255 Vesey St
If you are looking for a kid friendly BBQ joint, you have to start with Blue Smoke. Their ribs are packed with flavor and our favorite has to be their Texas salt & pepper beef ribs. Blue Smoke offers good service, good food in a great atmosphere. You can’t beat that!
Lombardi’s Pizza – 32 Spring St
Who doesn’t love a good slice of pizza? After all these years, Lombardi’s Pizza is still among the best. Lombardi’s has everything you are looking for in a pizza pie… gooey cheese, a crispy crust and an excellent sauce.
Ellen’s Stardust Diner – 1650 Broadway
Ellen’s Stardust Diner is a 50’s style diner, best known for their singing wait staff so it is fun for the whole family. They have a menu full of traditional diner fare including sandwiches, burgers and pastas.
Cercle Rouge – 241 W Broadway
Cercle Rouge in Tribeca is a French bistro and it is not uncommon to see the dining room full of families for their weekend brunch. They have a kid friendly menu and a menu with traditional French comfort foods like croque madame and moules frites. Also be on the lookout for kid’s entertainment such as balloon twisters during the weekend.
La Bonne Soupe – 48 West 55th St
La Bonne Soupe is another family friendly French bistro. From omelets to crepes to even hamburgers, there is bound to be something for everyone. It is a great option if you are in the Midtown area.

Last but certainly not least is Hill Country Chicken which has some of the best fried chicken that you can find in the city. But what really sets them apart is their downstairs seating.
