Cafe Hong Kong – 51 Bayard St
For less than $10, you can order almost everything on the lunch menu at Cafe Hong Kong and they have a large Cantonese menu with everything from sweet and sour pork to spaghetti so there is bound to be something for everyone. Cafe Hong Kong can be crowded especially during the weekends but wait times and take out are both usually pretty quick.
XO Kitchen – 148 Hester St
Similarly a few blocks down, there is XO Kitchen and it is our go to spot for rice casseroles. It packs a lot of flavor and it just hits the spot at all times of the day. Their lo mein is also very delicious and the order is massive so there is more than enough to go around.
Lam Zhou Handmade Noodle – 144 E Broadway
There are several handmade pulled noodle shops across Chinatown but one of our favorites is Lam Zhou Handmade Noodle. Their noodles are made to order and have a nice chewy texture. The broth is tasty and it can be topped with beef brisket, fish balls, seafood and more.
Big Wong King – 67 Mott St
Big Wong King is an old school no frills Chinese restaurant that has been a neighborhood favorite for years. Big Wong King is perfect if you are looking for authentic Chinese take out food that won’t break the bank. They have some of the best char siu (roast pork) we ever had and their congee is basically as good as it gets.
Hong Kong Station – 45 Bayard St & 45 Division St
Hong Kong Station is a buzzing noodle shop where you can customize your bowl of noodles in countless ways and it is a great place to pick up a quick, yummy lunch. Be sure to also order their curry squid!
Shanghai Asian Manor – 21 Mott St
