The Best Restaurants for Late Night Dining in Chinatown
For the city that never sleeps, it is can be tough to find a good restaurant that is open after midnight. An opportunity to find a tasty meal for cheap can be accomplished by visiting NYC’s Chinatown. NY’s Chinatown has several late night dining options and here are our favorites.
Great NY Noodletown – 28 1/2 Bowery
Great NY Noodletown is one of the go to places for late night dining. They specialize in a wonton noodle soup that brings in customers at all hours of the day and night.
69 Chinese Restaurant – 69 Bayard St
69 Chinese Restaurant aka 69 Bayard is a “no frills”, “old school style” Chinese restaurant known for their dollar bills from past customers that are taped to nearly every inch of the wall and now the ceiling. It is a favorite with the locals with dishes such as sweet and sour pork and eggplant in black bean sauce.
Wo Hop Restaurant – 17 Mott St
Down a flight of stairs that can be easy to miss is another authentic Chinese restaurant. Wo Hop Restaurant serves all the staples such as egg rolls, egg drop soup, fried rice and lo mein until the early morning. Regulars of Wo Hop tend to try their snails in black bean sauce with a side of rice.
Yummy Noodles – 48 Bowery
Yummy Noodles is a great place to pick up an order if you are in a hurry—quick dishes to try are congee, noodles with roast pork or soy sauce chicken. If you have a little more time, we definitely recommend Yummy Noodles’ rice casseroles that can be ordered with everything from chicken with mushrooms to frogs.
Pulqueria – 11 Doyers St
If you are in Chinatown and not in the mood for Chinese food, Pulqueria is an option. It is open until 2 AM serving tacos and other Mexican specialties along with a large drink menu.
