The Best Restaurants for NYC Restaurant Week, Summer 2018
New York City Restaurant Week is returning from July 23rd to August 17th! A two-course lunch is only $26 and a three-course dinner is $42. It is the perfect time to try new restaurants and new cuisines! So, with that in mind, here are our picks for the best deals and the best restaurants for NYC Restaurant Week, summer 2018.
Babu Ji – 22 E 13th St
P.C.: Babu Ji
One of our goals this NYC Restaurant Week is to try new, exciting cuisines. Babu Ji is an Indian restaurant from Australia. They have an eclectic menu and they have lots of interesting choices on their NYC Restaurant Week menu. Some dishes we can’t wait to try include Colonel Tso?s cauliflower, tandoori corn salad, lamb burger and aloo gobi (a vegetarian dish made with potatoes, cauliflower and Indian spices).
Zengo – 622 3rd Ave
P.C.: Zengo
Zengo is another great option if you are looking for something a little different. They combine Asian and Latin American flavors. Their summer roll, crispy tofu tacos and grilled skirt steak all sound amazing!
Delmonico?s Restaurant – 56 Beaver St
P.C.: yelp, Steven U.
Delmonico?s is one of the oldest restaurants in New York City (only Fraunces Tavern is older). Delmonico?s first opened way back 1837 and it is full of history. For example, did you know it was one of the first restaurants to use tablecloths? They are renowned for their signature Delmonico steak and lobster newberg which you can get during NYC Restaurant Week for an additional charge but their roasted sirloin and filet mignon are both great too!
Gaonnuri – 1250 Broadway, 39th Floor
P.C.: gaonnurinyc.com
We are always looking for fun, unique experiences during NYC Restaurant Week and Gaonnuri is a Korean BBQ restaurant on the 39th floor of an unassuming office building in Midtown. It offers great views of New York City and you actually grill your meats like bulgogi, pork belly, duck breast and marinated galbi (prime beef short rib) at your table. They also have their take on Korean staples like bibimbap on the NYC Restaurant Week menu too.
Artie’s Steak & Seafood – 394 City Island Ave, Bronx
P.C.: Artie’s Steak & Seafood
NYC Restaurant Week also features excellent restaurants in the outer boroughs. City Island is the go to spot in the Bronx for seafood and you can check out what all the buzz is about at Artie’s Steak & Seafood. You definitely want to keep your eye out for all the seafood classics here.
DaDong – 3 Bryant Park
P.C.: yelp, Fanghe L.
Recently several high profile fine dining Chinese restaurants opened in New York City. DaDong near Bryant Park is one of the them. Items like squid ink soup, gong bao chicken, black pepper wagyu has us intrigued.
