The Seven Best Fries in New York City
Who can resist a really good French fry? They are a tasty snack and the ultimate comfort food. Plus there are so many ways to kick it up a notch! We took a look around and here are the seven best fries in New York City.
Five Guys – 296 Bleecker St & Other Locations
First off, there is nothing fancy about Five Guys’ French fries but they are exactly what you imagine when you think of the perfect fry. These fries are super addictive, perfectly salted and piled high with each order.
Pomme Frites – 128 Macdougal St
We were sad when Pomme Frites had to close due to a huge gas explosion but they recently reopened in a new location in Greenwich Village. They are still serving their incredible twice fried Belgian fries. They also have a ton of sauces you can choose from, ranging from ketchup to something more unusual like peanut satay or wasabi mayo.
Nathan’s Famous – 1310 Surf Ave, Brooklyn & Other Locations
In addition to hot dogs, Nathan’s is known for their jumbo crinkle cut French fries. These fries are amazing with just ketchup or with a bit of cheese and maybe even some bacon on them!
Balthazar – 80 Spring St
You can’t have a good steak frites without good French fries and Balthazar’s French fries are a cut above! They are pure bliss and these fries will have you wanting more.
Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken – 28 E 1st St
Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken’s French fries are thin cut and perfect for dipping in one of their many interesting sauces like chipotle honey, habanero hot sauce and Blue Ribbon’s signature BBQ sauce. But our favorite by far has to be wildflower honey. It simply divine. We also love, love Blue Ribbon’s sweet potato fries too!
Umami Burger – 432 Sixth Ave & Other Locations
If you are looking for something a little different, we recommend Umami Burger. They have truffle fries and maple bacon fries and both are the opposite of boring with its bold flavors.
Mile End Deli – 53 Bond St & Other Locations
Poutine, a Canadian treat is French fries topped with cheese curds and brown gravy. Yum! If you are a fan of poutine, you don’t have to travel far. You can get them at Mile End Deli and we can’t recommend them enough.
