The Six Best Chicken Restaurants in New York City
If you love chicken as much as we do, you are in luck! There are so many good spots for fried chicken, fried chicken sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, chicken kebabs and a whole lot more! So with fast casual, fine dining and everything in between, here are the six best chicken restaurants in New York City.
Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken – 28 E 1st St & 749 9th Ave
There are especially a lot of good fried chicken spots in NYC but a very few do stand above the rest. One of our favorite lunch spots is Blue Ribbon and their fried chicken is just packed with flavor. We also love that there are so many interesting sauces you can choose from like chipotle honey, wasabi honey and their signature BBQ sauce BRBBQ.
Dirty Bird – 155 Chambers St & 204 W 14th St
Similarly, Dirty Bird is our go to fried chicken take out spot. Their chicken is incredibly juicy even if you take it to go. Their rotisserie chicken is yummy too especially on top of their kale salad. Also we recommend Hill Country Chicken (1123 Broadway) for their chicken and waffles.
Pio Pio – 604 Tenth Avenue & Other Locations
P.C.: yelp, Peter Y.
Pio Pio has locations all over New York City and even though they have a huge menu, the star is definitely their Peruvian style rotisserie chicken. Your best bet is their matador combo. It includes their chicken and a bunch of sides like rice & beans, tostones, salchipapa and avocado salad. It is a big, hearty meal.
Le Coq Rico – 30 E 20th St
If you are looking for something a little special, you can’t beat Le Coq Rico. It is a French bistro that specializes in chicken. Their signature dish, the roasted Brune Landaise chicken is pure bliss with every bite. Be sure to save room for their desserts too! It is top notch.
Chick-fil-A – 144 Fulton St & Other Locations
Chick-fil-A is famous for their fried chicken sandwiches but we are absolutely addicted to their grilled chicken nuggets. We can snack on these nuggets with a just bit of ranch sauce all day, any day!
BBQ Olive Chicken – 25 W 32nd St
P.C.: yelp, Alex V.
Finally if you are craving delicious chicken wings, you have to check out BBQ Olive Chicken in Koreatown. They have a bunch of yummy flavors to choose from like their spicy BB wings, soy garlic wings and their debasaki wings (teriyaki sauce and black pepper).
