The Ten Best Breakfast Spots in New York City
Breakfast is an important and often overlooked meal of the day. Many of us when referring to breakfast often do not use words such as memorable, once in a lifetime and mouthwatering to describe this morning meal… but trust us you will when you try some of these dishes. We encourage you to join us for a little foodie adventure and start the day off right. Here is our list of the ten best breakfast spots in New York City.
BLT Bar & Grill – 123 Washington St
BLT Bar & Grill makes one of favorite Eggs Benedict. Of course you start with a poached egg, ham and some hollandaise sauce. However this version is served over a scrumptious cheddar biscuit along with some spinach. If you watch a lot of cooking shows (like we do), Eggs Benedict is not always easy to get right but it is always perfect here.
Cafe Orlin – 41 St. Marks Pl
Cafe Orlin have been consistently serving good hearty breakfasts for years. They have all the classics like omelets, bacon, egg & cheese breakfast sandwiches, French toast and pancakes and also they have more unusual items such as Middle Eastern Eggs, eggs served with labne cheese, Israeli salad and a pita.
Buvette – 42 Grove St
Buvette is a tiny French restaurant with a breakfast menu ranging from croissants to Belgian waffles and crepes. They are all incredibly delicious and visually stunning.
Clinton St. Baking Co. – 4 Clinton St
For pancakes, we can’t recommend Clinton St Baking Co’s blueberry pancakes enough. Clinton St Baking Co is quite a popular hotspot for breakfast in the Lower East Side so there can be a wait but it is well worth it.
The Lambs Club – 132 West 44th St
If you are looking for a special breakfast in the Midtown area close by Times Square, there is The Lambs Club. It is a Geoffrey Zakarian establishment and it serves can’t miss dishes like huevos rancheros and stuffed French toast with strawberries, rhubarb and vanilla sweet cream.
Landmarc – 10 Columbus Cir, 3rd Fl & 179 West Broadway
Landmarc is another good breakfast spot in Midtown. Dishes like their roasted vegetable tart and the Eggs Norwegian makes us crave for more!
Pulino’s – 282 Bowery
How does a breakfast pizza sound? All the breakfast staples (bacon, egg and cheese) on a pizza pie may seem weird at first but when it gets to your table fresh out the oven, trust us you won’t hesitate to dig in! It is definitely something to try and you’ll be sure to tell all your friends and family about it.
Marlow & Sons – 81 Broadway, Brooklyn
In Brooklyn, one of our favorite breakfasts spots is the always popular Marlow & Sons. The menu is full of items like yogurt with granola, scones and frittatas. We are still exploring the menu and we are excited to go down the line and try them all, one at a time.
Bite – 335 Lafayette St & 211 East 14th St
Bite makes great breakfast sandwiches and best of all it will only set you back $3.50 (+$0.50 to add ham). You can’t beat that!
The Dutch – 131 Sullivan St
The Dutch only use high quality, organic eggs and during the weekend, you can enjoy these eggs in a number of ways like say in an omelet with summer squash, tomato, basil and goat cheese or soft scrambled on a bagel paired with smoked salmon and trout roe. Their biscuits are also amazing.
