Top 10 Theatre District Restaurants from Ahoy New York Food Tours…NYC
Greetings!
While chatting with fellow foodies on our food tours of Little Italy and Chinatown we often discuss Broadway shows we are seeing and then the obvious question is asked…where should we eat before the show? This is a very popular topic and it definitely requires us to share with you our favorite theatre district restaurants! Below is a list of a variety of restaurants, most fairly priced and of course all are YUMMY. Enjoy the pictures as well!
1- Becco: Italian, 355 W 46th St. $$ Try their all you can eat pasta, 3 types of pastas, all fresh served table side (see pic below).
2- Arriba Arriba: Mexican, 762 9th Ave. $$ We recommend a burrito and a margarita.
3- Casellula Cheese and Wine Cafe: Wine Bar with great eats, 401 W 52nd St. $$ Order some tapas, cheese pairings and a glass of your favorite wine.
4- BXL Cafe: Belgian, 125 West 43rd St. $$ Visit on a Sunday or Monday and get their special, all you can eat mussels with a Belgian beer (see pic below).
5- John’s Pizzeria: Italian, 260 W 44th St. $$ Eat the obvious!
6- Trattoria Trecolori Italian Restaurant: Italian, 254 W 47th St. $$ Can’t go wrong here, all meals taste wonderful.
7- Tout va bien: French, 311 W 51st St. $$ Order their boeuf bourguignon, it’s delicious! At this downstairs restaurant you’ll feel as if you are in someone’s home.
8- Pongsri Thai Restaurant: Thai, 244 W 48th St. $$ Order a few dishes and share with your group. Try their Pra Ram curry (see pic below).
9- Eatery: American, 798 9th Ave. $$ Try their White Cheddar Meatloaf; it will taste like no other meatloaf you’ve ever had.
10- Chez Josephine: French, 414 West 42nd St. $$$ Chez Josephine has a great Prix Fixe menu for $35.00.
