Where to Eat During NYC Restaurant Week, Summer 2019
New York City Restaurant Week is back (July 22 to August 16). It is the best time to be a foodie in New York City! Lunch is only $26 and dinner is $42 and this year over 380 restaurants across New York City are participating. Here are our picks on where to eat during NYC Restaurant Week, Summer 2019!
Queensyard Kitchen – 20 Hudson Yards, 4th Fl
P.C.: yelp, Cathy H.
Hudson Yards is the newest foodie destination in New York City and NYC Restaurant Week is a great time to try out some of these restaurants. Easily one of the most interesting restaurants in Hudson Yards with a NYC Restaurant Week deal is Queensyard. The tomato and watermelon gazpacho, crab risotto and eggplant mille feuille all sound amazing!
Bodega Negra – 355 W 16th St
P.C.: Bodega Negra
Bodega Negra is a beautiful restaurant that offers a fresh take on Mexican food. Just say tres leches and we are there in a flash! But the snapper ceviche, queso fundido, pan- roasted branzino and tacos on their Restaurant Week menu piques our interest too!
Bar Boulud – 1900 Broadway
P.C.: yelp, Nicholas G.
Chef Daniel Boulud has been a star in the NYC foodie dining scene for years and like most Restaurant Weeks several of his restaurants are participating. The one that we are most excited about is Bar Boulud. With items like their chilled corn soup, Yankee burger (for lunch), roasted pork loin & belly (for dinner) and chocolate pave, their Restaurant Week menu is a great deal and perfect for the summer.
Soogil – 108 E 4th St
P.C.: Soogil
Chef Soogil Lim worked under Daniel Boulud for seven years so it is no surprise that he offers a fusion of Korean and French cuisines in his latest restaurant Soogil. We can’t wait to try their beef tartare, glass noodles, braised short rib and sweet soy glazed duck breast.
Fine & Rare – 9 E. 37th St
P.C.: Fine & Rare
If you time it right you can take advantage of live jazz music and NYC Restaurant Week deals at Fine & Rare. We are looking to plan a fun night out and to try their scallop crudo, fish & chips, sweetcorn risotto and creme brulee.
The Capital Grille Wall Street – 120 Broadway
P.C.: The Capital Grille Wall Street
We love steakhouses and lucky for us there are so many excellent steakhouses participating in this year’s Restaurant Week. We had dinner at Capital Grille last Restaurant Week at it was one of the best meals we had all last year. We definitely recommend checking out their signature cheeseburger for lunch and their filet mignon or bone in dry aged New York strip steak for dinner.
Noreetuh – 128 First Ave
P.C.: yelp, Patricia C.
Noreetuh is our pick this year if you want to try something a little different. It is a Hawaiian restaurant in the East Village. We can’t wait to try their tuna poke, truffle wontons, kalua pork cavatelli, braised pork belly, bruleed hawaiian pineapple and pineapple upside- down cake. That is more than one dinner’s worth so we may have to take multiple trips!
