While we welcome children on our tours, our tours are mainly for a mature audience in that we taste a variety of cuisine and dive deeply into history and culture. Sometimes we find that children of a young age may become easily disengaged. Although we are a family-friendly tour company, please take care in knowing if your child will enjoy the experience prior to booking. We find that children 8 years old and older enjoy our Little Italy & Chinatown Food Tour. For our Tasty Global Bites Food Tour and Market 57 Chelsea Food Tour, we suggest ages 13 and up.
-
There are eight tastings on our Little Italy & Chinatown Food Tour, six hearty tastings on our Tasty Global Bites Food Tour and seven tastings on our Market 57 Chelsea Food Tour. All tours are considered a meal. We do encourage a light breakfast or lunch before the tour, as the tour is not intended to replace two meals. Most participants leave our tours feeling comfortably full.
-
We will be on our feet and outdoors for most of the tour, so please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Please dress appropriately for the day’s weather, including bringing an umbrella on rainy days, wearing warm layers on cold days, and cool clothing on hot days.
-
Gratuities are graciously appreciated, though not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%.
-
On all of our tours, we walk no more than ½ a mile at a moderate pace. During the three hours, there are many standing breaks, so we aren’t always walking. There are a few opportunities to sit throughout the tour.

Tastings include: Chinese dumplings, Caribbean-inspired empanadas, an Italian sandwich, Japanese crunchy sushi-style rice patties, oyster chowder, Mexican paletas, and a rotating tasting from the Good To Go incubator program.
